We strive to keep our purpose (our “Why?”) simple: To bring Quality and Value into the lives of those in the communities we serve. We do this in a number of ways. By saving you time, using quality ingredients, and directly giving back to Community Programs (just to name a few). Impact Acadiana is one such program we began partnering with from the early days of GEK.Impact Acadiana is a community nonprofit that funds over $20,000 annually for the David Trosclair Scholars in Kinesiology at the local University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Other Acadiana organizations that are annually positively benefited from Impact Acadiana include: Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Acadiana, Abbeville Rotary Club, Southside High School, Faith House of Acadiana, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Iberia and Vermillion Chamber of Commerce, and many others!
Impact Acadiana has been a pillar of our ‘Good Eats for Good Causes’ event, along with Top’s Cabinetry & Appliances, where together we have raised over $10,000 for local nonprofits. Their goal of enriching the lives of the people in Acadiana resonates with us in a way we couldn’t pass up.
To even further our impact on the community, both of our retail locations have become an Official Raffle Ticket purchase center for Impact Acadiana. One $10 raffle ticket benefits your own community two-folds. Every ticket purchased enters you to win a Custom Caribbean Cruise for Two as the Grand Prize. And each month, Good Eats Kitchen will award a 3-Day Meal Pack from the current purchased raffle pool. That’s a $75 value of meals for free, just for giving back to your own community!
The Grand Prize of the Caribbean Cruise will be awarded at a public raffle drawing on November 13th at the Lafayette Petroleum Club during the Annual ULL Kinesiology Banquest benefitting Impact Acadiana.
